Ever since becoming involved in the war, Luke had spent many moments being thankful for surviving one day after another. A routine patrol on Hoth had nearly gotten him killed, and he had nearly perished in the snow after that. He had himself and Ben to thank for escaping the first, but the second had been thanks to Han Solo.
Han came to see him when he was resting, stalked right over to him, seized either side of his white robe and pressed a quick, firm kiss against his lips.
"No time right now," he said, "but I'm glad you're all right."
Luke had been puzzled, but Han Solo was a surprisingly complicated man. He decided it was better to just take the kiss in stride.
Later, Han and Leia came to see how he was doing, and, as usual, there was an argument. At the argument's climax, Leia surprised them by leaning down and kissing Luke almost how Han had kissed him earlier.
Luke had acted smug, until Han had turned away, and Luke wondered if he'd made things more complicated.
